The New Year cheer continues with good news to chase away cost-of-living blues.

FairPrice Group (FPG) announced on 3 January 2024 that it will give out $8 in FairPrice return vouchers for every $80 worth of CDC Supermarket vouchers you spend in a single receipt.

This move will complement the new batch of $500 Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers coming your way.

Shoppers can receive up to $24 in FairPrice vouchers by spending $240 worth of CDC vouchers.

Shoppers have from today till 17 January 2024 to enjoy the deal at any FairPrice supermarket in Singapore.

There is no minimum spend for the FairPrice vouchers; multiple vouchers can be used in a single transaction. The FairPrice vouchers can be used on purchases from the next day of receipt until 29 February 2024.

Ongoing commitment to ease inflation

This is the second time FPG is supporting the Government’s CDC voucher scheme to ease the impact of rising costs.

FPG Group CEO Vipul Chawla reiterated the company’s ongoing social mission to help Singaporeans manage inflation.

“The increased cost of living over the last two years due to stubborn inflation and supply chain infractions has led to households cutting back on spending, including on daily necessities.

“As a social enterprise, it is our mission to support the communities in which we serve in their time of need.

“This year, we are supplementing the Government's CDC support package with additional FairPrice return vouchers of $8 for every $80 spent,” he said.

FPG is also absorbing the one per cent Goods and Services Tax (GST) increase on essential items for the first six months of 2024. It has also extended the Pioneer Generation, Merdeka Generation, and Community Health Assist Scheme Blue discounts till the end of 2024.
