A new collaboration between NTUC, NTUC Club and mm2 Asia has resulted in exclusive deals for NTUC members to concerts, Wild Wild Wet water theme park and Cathay Cineplexes.
The trio came together on 14 October 2022 at Cineleisure to sign an agreement outlining their intent to serve NTUC members better – particularly the youth.
NTUC Membership Services Division Director Steve Tan believes that the collaboration with mm2 Asia will bring stronger leisure and entertainment benefits to all NTUC members.
“We are confident that members will see this as a strong value proposition they can now welcome their family and friends into,” he said.
mm2 Asia Group CEO Chang Long Jong says the media company is looking forward to working with NTUC to introduce more activities and experiences to its members.
He shared: “This strategic partnership will deliver many opportunities for us to create meaningful value, as well as many fun moments and fond memories for all.”
As part of the collaboration, NTUC, Young NTUC, and nEbO (nobody Enjoys being Ordinary) members can look forward to discounted movie tickets when they present their NTUC card at any Cathay Cineplex outlet.
All three membership groups can purchase $9.50 movie tickets daily, including weekends (U.P. $14.50). At the same time, Young NTUC and nEbO members will, additionally, be able to purchase $5 movie tickets every Monday, excluding public holidays and the eve of public holidays.
Meanwhile, Young NTUC and nEbO members will also be able to purchase an (U)ltimate PLAY Bundle at $198 per set, which contains Cathay movie tickets, Wild Wild Wet day passes, and concert passes to JJ Lin “JJ20” World Tour Singapore on 4 November 2022.
The bundle is on sale from 17 October 2022 at 8am and is valid while stocks last.
The collaboration between NTUC, NTUC Club and mm2 Asia will leverage the strengths of each party’s networks and capabilities to deepen engagement with NTUC members, specifically the youth and young workers, in three areas.
For one, the partners hope to enhance NTUC’s membership benefits by leveraging mm2 Asia’s media and entertainment businesses, including its cinemas. They also hope to offer better opportunities to youth through initiatives such as early exposure programmes and internships in the media and creative industry. And lastly, the collaboration will allow them to pool resources for creating new engagement and leisure concepts.
Young NTUC Executive Secretary Wendy Tan said: “Young NTUC and nEbO have always been on the lookout for new and exciting ways to engage our youth and young workers. The strategic partnership will help us bring greater value to our members in their pursuit of leisure and other aspects of their lives.
