NTUC Job Security Council (JSC) is an ecosystem with a network of receiving (companies looking to hire) and releasing (companies that may have to let go of workers) companies. Working with companies on board JSC, NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) which manages JSC, will have information on job vacancies and jobs that will soon be phased out, and better match soon-to-be displaced PMEs into available vacancies. As such, JSC aims to improve the matching of workers and PMEs, before they are retrenched or displaced, into jobs to minimise the duration of unemployment.
Launched in February 2020, JSC will help place workers and PMEs into new jobs ahead of displacement, and if there are any skill gaps between the existing and new jobs, JSC will work with training partners to provide them with the relevant training.
JSC serves all Singaporeans/PRs and all Singapore-registered companies. If you are a Trade Association, you can come onboard JSC as a multiplier as well. A multiplier would partner with JSC to outreach and engage your members to come on board this JSC ecosystem together.
How to apply?
For workers who want an update on the latest jobs, JSC has two telegram channels to alert job seekers on the latest job vacancies.
JSC is an ecosystem to testbed manpower solutions with trusted and trusting companies riding on varying strengths of companies to support each other during good times and bad times. NTUC’s e2i is operationalising this ecosystem and will tap on a range of manpower solutions, including recruiting, reskilling workers and redeployment of workers.
No cost or commitment period is involved.
JSC serves all Singaporeans/PRs and Singapore-registered companies.
To offer appropriate support, our JSC officers will first evaluate and discuss your company’s needs before addressing any financial issues. We will be happy to partner with you in recruitment, training, and job redesigning solutions.
JSC covers all industries.
There is no minimum number of vacancies. However, companies would need to adhere to TAFEP’s hiring guidelines.
