Women Supporting Women Mentorship Programme

Empowering women in their professional development and personal growth over a 6-month period

What is the Women Supporting Women Mentorship Programme?

The WSW mentorship is a community mentoring programme that supports women in various constituencies by offering them an opportunity to be mentored by women leaders. It allows women workers and jobseekers to focus on their professional development and personal growth over six months. NTUC U Women and Family piloted the Women Supporting Women Mentorship Programme in partnership with the Punggol Shore Constituency in 2020.

The mentors are women with professional experiences across different industries from NTUC and the constituency (e.g., Women Executive Committee members).

Mentors will share about:

  • Their professional journey, e.g. how did they get to where they are, what type of training they went through, etc.
  • Suggestions on how the mentees could develop themselves professionally, e.g. training programmes, networking opportunities, etc.
  • Resources to guide mentees and avenues for help on employment issues, e.g. NTUC, TADM, etc.

Who can apply as a mentee?

  • Stay-home caregivers who may wish to return to work or explore income-generating activities but do not know how or where to start
  • Mid-career professionals who may be seeking advice on the next steps of their professional careers
  • Fresh grads who may be looking at career guidance
